Current Petition

Our petition asked Sheffield City Council to:

1. Establish a baseline carbon footprint for Sheffield
2. Put a Carbon Reduction Plan at the heart of the city strategy
3. Set carbon reduction targets of at least 6% a year in line with keeping global rise below 2 degrees C
4. Regularly publicise the city's progress in making carbon reductions

It was delivered to Sheffield Council on 3rd October 2007 with 1,732 signatures.  See the Council Minutes
